About Dan Kramer’s

“If I were asked to describe myself in a few words I would choose optimistic, free, peaceful, and enthusiastic. My optimism is based not on empty hope but rather the knowledge that by following a wise plan for my life I can deal with the challenges we all face as we go through life. My sense of freedom and peace of mind come from knowing my own self and what is right for me, and living my life in accord with that knowledge.

My enthusiasm comes from knowing that I have the ability to share these gifts with others and enrich their lives. Dan Kramer Life Planning Services was inspired by the belief that I can truly hear your voice. I can inspire you to discover your own gifts and embody them in a life well lived.

I would also describe myself as a teacher, mentor, or instructor. In this role I’m driven to search for both information and insight. But the goal is not to search merely for facts, but to integrate information and insight into wisdom that can inspire and uplift the spirit and improve lives. As a teacher my goal is to lead you to wisdom that encourages independent thought and action on your part. In addition to lifestyle transitional coaching, I have worked for the Johnson and Jackson County Departments of Health as an Environmental Health Specialist since 1975. Not only has my experience in this field taught me how to set up action steps towards achieving goals, but it developed in me a passion for helping others to live happier, healthier and more productive lives.

After graduating from the Coach’s Training Institute, I was able to refine these skills into a lifestyle transitioning coaching career that enables me to directly influence those who are determined to see change in their lives.

Additionally, I see myself as a humanitarian. I don’t believe that self-knowledge, or a life lived with meaning and purpose is something for only a special few. I choose to believe its benefit of freedom and peace of mind is achievable by anyone. I believe that we all deserve to be heard and have our unique gifts realized and valued.

My awakening to choose the path of lifestyle transition coach was in 2011. In that same year I lost my 53-year-old brother, Kevin, and my closet and dearest friend who was his namesake. Both died suddenly. This made me realize that no one can tell how long we’re going to live. Since I can personally relate, I want to offer my knowledge and experiences at bringing out the value of others to anyone looking for meaning and a new direction at a difficult moment in life.

My wife, Shelley, and I have two sons and currently live near Lake MacBride in Solon, Iowa. Some of my passions include worshipping, family outings, playing cards, boating and traveling.”
